Cash In With Facebook

For the very first time, Facebook users can make CASH by selling their unwanted CDs, DVDs and games on the social network while they carry on conversations with their friends, post on walls or check out their news feed – all courtesy of musicMagpie.
musicMagpie, is a free-to-use, cash for CDs, DVDs and games website, and it has launched a new Facebook store which promises to change Facebook forever!
Quicker than you can update your status, the new Facebook store instantly generates a valuation when users have entered the barcodes of their unwanted items. Users can then complete their transaction and sell to musicMagpie on the spot, all without leaving Facebook.
Users can announce to the world just how much they’ve just made simply by selecting a customisable message once their transaction is complete.
In addition to making money users can choose to trade in for instantly redeemable Marks & Spencer eVouchers instead of cash – perhaps a great option if just now if you’re still needing to get some Christmas presents.
Eren Ozagir, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of musicMagpie, said: “Social networks are where many people spend most of their time online, and we’re really excited to be the first to launch a store-application where users can actually make money on Facebook without having to leave the network or end a conversation.
“We are working on new social applications all the time and we believe that our Facebook store, like our iPhone app works for people because they make it even easier to declutter and make a little extra cash.”
The new Facebook store follows a popular iPhone app, launched earlier this year, which has been downloaded over 350,000 times by UK Apple users. What’s more musicMagpie has also recently announced updates to the iPhone app, which include a free Leave Safe Service, allowing customers to leave their items in a safe place for free collection, and a facility where charitable fans can also donate the worth of their items to worthwhile charities such as the RSPCA, Breast Cancer Care and The Teenage Cancer Trust.
The new store can be accessed via the musicMagpie Facebook page, at www.facebook.com/musicmagpie.
MoneyHighStreet comments: “What a fantastic new step for musicMagpie – a very timely addition too as we approach Christmas when no doubt there will be at least a few duplicate CDs or Games that people might well want to cash in.
“We here at MoneyHighStreet have just liked the Facebook store, we now need to give the selling proces a try. We’ll let you know how we get on.
“Meantime, has anyone else tried it? Any comments you’d like to share?”
