British people looking for property in Spain are increasingly looking inland, an industry expert has said.Paul Bradley, a spokesperson from the Spanish Property Owners Guild, explained that the areas of Granada, La Mancha, Extremadura and the Costa del Luz were all becoming popular with people looking to buy property in Spain.
He added that these areas were cheaper than the traditionally popular spots, such as Murcia.
What's more, Mr Bradley stressed that property in Spain would always be popular with people from the UK.
"Spain will continue as a popular venue for both holidays and second home ownership," he pointed out.
"Tourism last month was seven per cent up on this time last year. We also have a growing number of Brits dissatisfied with increasing, taxation, costs of living, immigration, violence etc [in the UK] simply making a new life here."
The International Property Market 2007 survey from the Association of International Property Professionals showed that Spain continued to be the most popular place for Brits to buy abroad.
