Playa Amadores Gran Canaria It is still possible to find good value property in Spain, an industry expert has said.

Terry Walker, of specialist website PropertyInSpain.Net, explained that some areas of the country, such as the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, have now become "fairly saturated around the coast".

However, he stressed that it was still possible to find good value property in Spain, but that people had to look harder.

"There are still wide open spaces of 'real' Spain with welcoming villages and bargain properties," Mr Walker added.

"Costa Blanca remains the most popular property destination with Ibiza the top offshore destination for property buyers."

Mr Walker also said that buyers should be careful about opting for property in Costa de la Luz and Costa Almeria, as there were currently some legal problems.

"Buyers should double check everything they are told by local agents and then get a Spanish solicitor to do the same and put his name on it," he concluded.
