Make sure you're covered at Christmas

Small businesses are being advised to take extra security precautions and to ensure that they are fully covered this Christmas.A recent poll by Zurich has found that small businesses believe that winter and in particular Christmas, is the period they most expect to be the victim of crime.
Almost a quarter of small firms said that they take money to the bank every day, with 43 per cent using the same route and ten per cent going at a set time.
Installing CCTV cameras, shop front grills and improving locks are some of the ways to cut down on the potential for crime to occur and when taking money to the bank, changing the route, time and person doing it is advisable.
"Criminals are becoming bolder in their activities, and they are turning to what they believe to be softer and vulnerable targets such as small shops, where they believe there is a high turnover of cash, particularly at this time of year," explained criminal turned security expert, Bob Turney.
A comprehensive small business insurance policy will also give peace of mind.
