Fixed rate mortgageThe new rate for the 2 year fixed rate mortgage with up to 85% LTV is 4.49%, a cut of 0.7%. There’s free valuation and legal fees and a low fee of £495.

Yorkshire recently launched a 2 year tracker mortgage for those with a 15% deposit at a rate of 3.79% (Bank of England Base Rate + 3.29%) and a fee of £495.

Offset mortgage versions are available at just 0.1% higher.

Tom Girling, Mortgage Product Manager at the Society commented: “We now provide a great range of products for people with smaller deposits as we look to increase our lending for the year following continued confidence in the housing market.

The low fee on both the fixed and tracker products should also prove very attractive to customers as many of the other competitive deals in the market still require a high upfront fee.”

The mortgages are available online and from branches.
