Virgin Media today announced the PictureBox movies on demand TV subscription service from Universal Pictures will be available to Virgin Media TV subscribers from July.
Virgin Media TV subscribers will be able to select from 28 films at any time and view them whenever they like.
7 new titles will be added each Friday and leading films, such as Children of Men, the Bourne Ultimatum and Hot Fuzz, will be available in the coming months.
You can already get some great Virgin Media TV deals, adding the PictureBox service gives even more options.
Many of the films will be available in HD and won’t have been screened on free-to-air television in the UK.
There will be a £5 per month charge for the service.
Executive director of content acquisition at Virgin Mediam Katharine Burns, said ‘Our customers love movies on demand and they’re watching millions of films every year. The addition of PictureBox means Virgin Media is the perfect choice for film fans, with a fantastic HD line-up and even more films to choose from, all great value for money.’
Currently the PictureBox movies on demand service is also available to BT Vision customers at the same charge of £5 per month.
