Uncomplicated Clear Credit Card

The Clear Credit Card from the Co-op Bank is a simple, uncomplicated product and is growing in popularity.
According to Co-op Bank, there has been a 10% increase in take-up of its Clear Credit Card over the last year.
The credit card offers a single interest rate for all card transactions, including cash withdrawals, purchases and balance transfers.
Other key points about the card include
- 12.9% APR typical / variable
- No charge for UK cash withdrawals or cheques
- Up to £25,000 free Travel Accident Insurance when the credit card is used to pay for the tickets
- 24-hour medical and legal assistance overseas
The Clear Credit Card does not have an annual fee.
David Fawell, Head of Credit Cards and the Co-op Bank, comments ‘We have seen an increased demand for our clear card as many customers now look for simplicity and a transparent charging structure when choosing their banking products.’
Interestingly, others are taking a different approach. The recently launched Egg Money World Credit Card for example has a package of rewards and benefits and comes with an annual fee of £12.
