Travel insurance deals available for family holidays

There are some great travel insurance deals available for those setting off on family holidays, particularly relevant with school half-term holidays upon us BUT make sure you check the small print and get the cover that you need.

As with all insurance policies, travel insurance policies can differ from provider to provider.

It’s important therefore to compare travel insurance policies both on what they cover and the price.

What’s important is to get the cover you and your family need.

This may not be the cheapest – if you do buy the cheapest but it doesn’t cover your needs, should you need to make a claim you could find it isn’t met.

Also don’t forget your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), you’ll need this as well as travel insurance.

The EHIC only provides a basic level of medical cover, it doesn’t provides all the other cover offered by travel insurance, such as holiday cancellation, lost or stolen passports or personal liability.
