The Nectar card is now available at Homebase, the first time a DIY retailer has been included in this leading loyalty programme.
Taking advantage of the Spring Bank Holiday and the Nectar card launch, Homebase are offering Nectar double points to customers making online or store purchases between Friday 22 May and Sunday 31 May.
Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May are also 10% discount days at Homebase.
Nectar points can be collected across the 300 Homebase stores or at Homebase.co.uk.
Joining the Nectar card scheme is easy, either instore at Homebase or online.
2 Nectar points are rewarded for each £1 spent, to a maximum 1,000 points per transaction.
Jan-Pieter Lips, Managing Director of Nectar said ‘We are thrilled that Homebase has joined Nectar as our exclusive DIY partner. We regularly speak with our collectors and DIY is the most requested sector to add to Nectar. The arrival of Homebase adds an important dimension to the Nectar programme making it even more relevant to our millions of Nectar collectors.’
Previously Homebase had their own Spend & Save scheme which is being replaced by Nectar. Customers of the Spend & Save scheme will be given details on joining the Nectar scheme if they are not already a member.
With the likes of Argos and Sainsbury’s as Nectar partners, over 50% of UK households already collect Nectar points when shopping for groceries, booking a holiday, paying utility bills or eating out.
With AA insurance suggesting nearly 40% of Brits will be tackling DIY this bank holiday, it seems the tie in between Nectar and Homebase could be perfect timing.
Mind you there’s the other piece of information from AA insurance suggesting that 19 million of those Brits tackling the DIY facing a disaster this weekend, but that’s another story!!
