As part of its customer care service, the Post Office Home Insurance has announced that it is increasing its contents coverage by 10 percent during December to ensure parcels are fully protected during the Holiday season.
In a statement, the Post Office noted a marked increase in the movement of parcels during the run-up to Christmas, and most often, people find they have more valuables than normal gifts for family and friends at home.
And as the economy is still facing uncertainty, the public should be spared of the risk of theft or accidental damage of their gifts. It is also wise to compare home insurance policies to get the best deals.
The Post Office Home Insurance automatically increases the level of contents cover at no extra cost during big celebrations such as Christmas to ensure that any gifts or extra valuables in your home at this time of year are protected.
Richard Pennant-Jones, head of Post Office Home Insurance said, “The last thing you want to have to worry about over Christmas is whether you have enough cover on your home insurance. By automatically raising the level of cover over the Christmas period Post Office customers can enjoy the party season safe in the knowledge that their gifts are fully protected should the worst happen.”
At the same time, the Post Office said that customers who buy their combined home buildings and contents insurance at a Post Office branch can now look forward to receiving a £25 winter fuel voucher 60 days after taking out a policy or claim a £25 cash payment.
