Parents suffering stress as a result of the recession

Nearly half of all parents are suffering stress as a result of the recession and worrying about paying food and utility bills, mortgage and rent payments – income protection cover might help.

Income protection Post Office Insurance research shows that parents suffering recession driven stress are extremely worried about their financial situation.

Physical signs of stress experienced include sleep disturbance, increased headaches and starting to eat badly.

Nearly 50% of Dads are worried about becoming unemployed.

As Duncan Caesar-Gordon, head of protection products at the Post Office, says ‘One way of easing any financial worries is to ensure you and your family are protected financially’.

This can be done in a number of ways including taking out an income protection policy to cover monthly bills.

The Post Office offers such products as do many providers.

Many offer an online service where you can get an income protection quote quickly and easily and see how much it would cost to cover your monthly bills – and give you something less to worry about.

If you are concerned about rising debts, it is better to take action sooner rather than later, consider some form of debt management.

Left unchecked debts can get out of control and lead to serious consequences.
