Over 40% of Brits have opted for a ‘staycation’ this year to save money and almost 10% say they’ll be taking more UK holidays, but don’t forget travel insurance, it’s important even if holidaying in the UK.
With the August Bank Holiday upon us, according to LV=, some 7 million are taking advantage of it as the last Bank Holiday before Christmas and taking a trip in the UK.
Many of those opting for a ‘staycation’ will be visiting friends and family but camping, caravanning and staying in a 3 star hotel are all popular trips.
Whether in the UK or not, if you are going on a trip remember to buy travel insurance.
As John O’Roarke of LV= travel insurance comments ‘Having travel insurance in place will ensure you don’t end up out of pocket if you have a problem with your transport arrangements, such as missing your train, plane or bus, or if your belongings go missing.”
You can buy insurance from such as LV=. With so many providers though you might find it useful to compare travel insurance on a comparison site, such as Confused.com or moneysupermarket.com.
