Dogs are battling with danger if they play in ponds and chase sticks according to Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance – worryingly these activities can even be life threatening.

Pet InsuranceChasing a stick may seem simple enough but each year there are over 25,000 pet insurance claims linked to lacerations and many of these are caused by chasing and catching sticks.

Pet health issues can be expensive – as Lucy Hunter of Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance comments, ‘A simple bout of diarrhoea resulting in a trip to the vet and prescribed medicine could cost you as much as £240.’
