House pricesOn an annual basis, house prices are now down 16.2% with the average house price standing at £152,895.

House prices are still falling but the speed of the fall seems to be slowing.

For the 3 months ending in January 09 there were an average of 35,480 house sales transactions per month, compared to 85,610 in the same period the previous year.

Interestingly the North East, South West, Wales and London saw house price rises in March.

These price rises though were offset by falls in all the other regions, the most being a drop of 2% in West Midlands.
