Holidays – are they actually quite stressful?

With 40% of females feeling more stressed than they should about holidays and men worrying about missing a flight or experiencing a delay, can travel insurance help?
According to a Confused.com survey, 75% of respondents spend time stressed each day whilst on holiday.
Main holiday stress causes include:
- Delayed flight
- Lost Luggage
- Family arguments
- Missed flights
- Bad weather
As Steve Williams, head of travel insurance at Confused.com, said ‘While travel insurance does not compensate for the loss of enjoyment because of a row or a few rainy days, it will cover financial loss as a result of eventualities such as delayed baggage or flights – often the most serious of stress inducers.
Many holiday makers set off without travel insurance – this could end up being far more costly than the cost of a travel insurance policy.
You can easily compare travel insurance using a comparison website such as that offered by Confused.com or moneysupermarket.com to get the best policy at the best price for your needs.
