Halifax credit cards research shows that the average Valentines Day shopper spends £170 on jewellery and £41 on flowers.

Even in the lead up to Valentines Day the average Halifax credit card owner spends £42 on clothes, £43 on cosmetic and beauty products and even £38 on shoes.
February 14th is also a very popular day to get engaged.
By tradition, men spend at least the equivalent of a month’s salary on the all important engagement ring. According to earlier research by Halifax almost 70% of British men spend between a half and a month’s salary whilst nearly 10% spend more than a month’s salary on the engagement ring.
Alan Brindley, from Halifax Credit Cards, said ‘Our research shows that Brits do have big hearts when it comes to Valentine’s Day, but this doesn’t have to mean a broken wallet. By choosing a card with a substantial great 0% deal, valentine spends needn’t attract any extra interest.’
Halifax believe they have the perfect credit card to help when paying for your Valentines Day shopping.
The Halifax All-in-One Credit card has 0% interest on balance transfers for 9 months and 0% on purchases for 9 months.
The All-in-One card has a typical 15.9% APR variable, no annual fee and is an internet exclusive.
It is available in five different colours, black, white, pink, red and blue.
