EDF energy has launched a new online energy plan which sees them seek the position of cheapest energy supplier, as previously held by British Gas’ online energy plan.

Energy plansAs Will Marples at uSwitch.com says ‘The message from suppliers is now clear – if you want to cut the cost of your energy you have to go online.

Online energy plans are now £210 a year cheaper on average than standard energy plans. This is an easy saving for households to make.’

You can compare online energy plans using a comparison website such as uSwitch.com or you can you check the new EDF energy deal directly.

Energy suppliers are at last starting to respond to lowering wholesale energy prices and bringing out cheaper energy deals.

British Gas, with their online energy plan WebSaver3, have for some time offered the cheapest energy deal. It will be interesting to see how they respond to the new EDF deal.

Many people will be coming to the end of fixed energy deals and need to make decisions on what to do next.

    1. We are on night storage heaters a friend who is with EDF told us about their economy 10 deal which would seem ideal for us as you are allowed the cheap rate to be on in the day for at least a couple of times instead of no heat at all by the evening. Could you please tell us if this will be on offer in the near future, also approx cost.
      Many Thanks
