Churchill is offering 50% off home insurance for new customers who buy buildings and contents insurance together.
The offer on home insurance is only available to new customers taking out cover by the end of May 09.
Head of Churchill home insurance, Martin Scott, commented ‘Now more than ever, households can’t afford to go without home insurance.’
Having home insurance covers you for the incidents you might immediately think of – floods, burst water pipe or burglary.
As Scott points out though you can also ‘add extras such as legal expenses cover which could provide cover for legal costs in a wide range of circumstances including employment or redundancy disputes.’
MoneyHighStreet has already today covered the need to consider home insurance accidental damage to deal with mishaps arising from the new stay at home culture as people look to cut back on expenses.
It seems that the insurance providers are starting to do their bit to win business and ensure that people do have adequate home insurance cover.
Barclays is joining the fray with an offer of half price contents cover for new customers and Norwich Union (soon to be Aviva) currently offers free contents cover when you buy buildings insurance.
There are no doubt other deals to be had.
