A car insurance claim

10.4% of all car insurance claims occur in October as drivers cope with darker days when the clocks.

October 20th is the worst day for claims, according to Virgin Money Car Insurance.

The last three months of the year generally prove most challenging times for motorists. 30% of all claims are made during this time.

Grant Bather, spokesman at Virgin Money, echoes this point “”With the seasons changing, nights drawing in and driving conditions becoming hazardous, motorists should pay extra attention when driving and should make sure that they are equipped should they have an accident or breakdown.”

Not only should drivers ensure that their car is fully prepared for winter, they should check that their car insurance provides the best cover, particularly when accidents more likely to happen.
