BT dismisses Ofcom broadband test

BT has dismissed the recent Ofcom broadband speeds report as ‘sadly out of date’.
BT consumer managing director John Petter said ‘We have already begun moving customers across to our 21st century network which gives them massively faster speeds, even at peak times.’
BT announced in June that by later this year it will more than double the broadband speeds for both residential and business customers, giving them up to 20Mb/s.
It’s doing this at no extra cost to customers and it follows a £1.5 billion investment in new ADSL2+ broadband technology.
You can get some great BT broadband deals, either just broadband or Broadband bundles, offering a combination of broadband with TV and/or calls.
Broadband bundles are increasingly popular – you might find our article on ‘Broadband bundles – what are they and should I get one?‘ useful.
