After E.ON, it’s now First Utility cutting its dual fuel tariffs

First Utility has cut the price on its dual fuel tariffs, hot on the heels of the price reduction by E.ON, and so continues the energy supplier battle.

Cheapest Energy SupplierFirst Utility has cut its dual fuel tariffs for new and existing cutomers – both its iSave Dual Fuel and Smart Dual Fuel online Saver.

The cheapest energy supplier, based on an average annual bill, is now First Utility at £954, just ahead of that of E.ON at £962.

Scottish Power has reduced its Online Energy Saver 7 Tariff in a number if regions.

That said, as Gareth Kloet of confused.com said ‘We’re still waiting for the Big Six to really show their hands.

This clash of the energy titans is by no means over and failing to take advantage of this competitive spirit could lead to big losses.

and added ‘Best buy tables do not tell the full story, especially in their current state of flux, the only way to find out the most economical choice is to go online and compare tariffs like for like.’
