The Gold Mastercard credit card from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank offers 16 months 0% interest on balance transfers.
For new credit card account holders, there is 0% interest on balance transfers for 16 months, albeit there is a 3% balance transfer fee.
This is the same as offered by the Virgin Money Credit card, who recently increased their 0% balance transfer period to 16 months – that said the Virgin credit card is currently 16.8% APR typical rate (variable) and the Gold Mastercard 16.9% APR typical (variable).
Steve Reid, Retail Director for Clydesdale Bank, said: “Our Gold Mastercard not only offers 0% interest on all purchases made in the first three months, but it also offers 16 months 0% interest on balance transfers, making the card ideal for customers who want to reduce their spending as well as reducing the cost of any outstanding debts through a balance transfer.”
Time is perhaps running a little short if you need to sort your credit card for Christmas, but other features of the Gold Mastercard include
- 0% for first 3 months on all purchases
- No annual fee
- Secure online shopping with MasterCard SecureCode
- Optional insurances available to cover your payments and loss of cards
- Free additional cards for your family members
The credit card is available in branches for new to bank customers and in branch or online for existing customers at www.cbonline.co.uk/cards
