Virgin Media Launches Mobile Internet And Mobile Broadband Travel Passes

Virgin Media has launched arrange of mobile Internet and mobile broadband travel passes that allow customers to surf the web anywhere in the European Union.
In order to offer consumers better value for money when surfing the Internet in Europe, Virgin Media have today announced a new range of “travel passes”.
The travel passes cost from £6.00 per day for mobile Internet access and from £10 for mobile broadband access. As they last for 24 hours each day, Virgin Media is claiming that they will prevent customers running up unexpectedly large bills.
Travel passes for mobile Internet access are also available on hourly rates and cost £4 per hour for this access.
Daily Mobile broadband rates have the following price structures and download limits: One day £10 for 10MB, 3 days (£15 for 15MB), 7 days (£30 for 30MB) and even a 30 day pass (£60 for 60MB).
Users wanting to activate these travel passes do by using text messages and short codes to indicate the service that they require. As Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media said “Virgin Media customers never have to worry about accessing the Internet while they’re abroad.”
“Whether it’s searching for the best pizzeria in Rome on your mobile or uploading photos onto Facebook with a laptop and mobile broadband, customers now have control over what they spend on holiday.”
