For many of us, earning £100,000 a year seems like financial nirvana, but is it all its’ cracked up to be?

The nice house, the nice car, frequent holidays to exotic places, the kids at a nice school…. and all the other “nice” ways of spending a £100,000 salary that you can think of.

It sounds great but that level of earnings is only available to 2% of us, it seems, particularly now that we know the UK is one of the worst places to live in Europe.
