Beware of the overheating iPhone 3GS

Clearly the heatwave of the last few days has taken its toll on the new iPhone 3GS as many find it has been overheating – Apple is blaming the weather.

It seems you need to be careful to store the iPhone in a range between -20C and 45C and operated in a range between 0c and 35C.

Outside these temperatures the iPhone may have issues, such as a dimmed display or weak signal, as it tries to regulate itself.

Some people have even noticed that their white model has turned pink – perhaps some sun burn???

Apple says the user should get a warning from the iPhone that it is overheating and then it should be turned off and cooled down before using again.
